Gabriele wrote the Opening Tune for the 13th Edition of the Far East Film Festival in Udine as well as the music for the first ever silent Chinese movie entitled "Labor's Love", that was screened as part of the Festival's programme.

Gabriele got a second nomination at the Japan Academy Prize - Best Movie Score - for the soundtrack of the fantasy movie Paco and the Magical Picture Book by Director Tetsuya Nakashima, starring Yakusho Koji (Babel, Memories of a Geisha), Satoshi Tsumabuki (Tokyo Drift).

The DVD of Devil May Cry reached number one in the animation DVD sales chart in the United States.

Gabriele won the Japan Academy Prize scoring the orchestral soundtrack of the Japanese movie "Memories of Matsuko"
